Surface Tolerant Epoxies

Amerlock 2

As a maintenance or new construction coating Amerlock 2 fast dry surface tolerant epoxy protects both steel and concrete structures in severe environments, including marine structures, petroleum processing and storage facilities. Amerlock 2’s low solvent level meets most VOC requirements, reduces the chances for film pinholing and solvent entrapment at the substrate-coating interface, often a major cause of coating failure with conventional epoxies and lower solids systems. Amerlock 2 is available in a variety of colors, and therefore does not require a topcoat. For extended weatherability or special uses, a topcoat may be desired.

Amerlock 2 VOC

Amerlock 2/400 Glass-Flake

As a maintenance or new construction coating Amerlock 2/400GFK protects both steel and concrete structures in severe environments, including marine structures, petroleum processing and storage
facilities. On offshore platforms, Amerlock 2/400GFK is suitable for use in splash and tidal zones, under-deck areas and helidecks as well as sub-sea facilities. Amerlock’s low solvent level reduces the chances for film pinholing and solvent entrapment at the substrate-coating interface, often a major cause of coating failure with conventional epoxies and lower solids systems.

Amerlock 400

As a maintenance or new construction coating Amerlock 400 standard dry surface tolerant epoxy protects both steel and concrete structures in severe environments, including marine structures, petroleum processing and storage facilities. Amerlock 400 low solvent level meets most VOC requirements, reduces the chances for film pinholing and solvent entrapment at the substrate-coating interface, often a major cause of coating failure with conventional epoxies and lower solids systems. Amerlock 2 VOC is available in a variety of colors, and therefore does not require a topcoat. For extended weatherability or special uses, a topcoat may be desired.

Amerlock Sealer

Amerlock Sealer is a penetrating sealer for marginally prepared steel and aged coatings. Its low viscosity and excellent wetting properties allow it to penetrate rust and discontinuities in existing coatings which in turn improves adhesion of subsequent topcoats. Amerlock Sealer has
excellent resistance to corrosive environments. Amerlock Sealer is also used as a concrete primer/sealer and as a concrete curing compound. When used as a concrete curing
compound, Amerlock Sealer is applied to concrete slabs immediately after pouring and finishing, or to formed concrete surfaces as soon as the forms are removed (three days after initial pour). Concrete must cure a minimum of 14 days (total) prior to topcoating with epoxy surfacers or coatings.

Amercoat 385

Amercoat 385 is a high-performance epoxy coating forming a tough, abrasion-resistant, durable film. It adheres strongly to bare steel, coated steel and inorganic zinc silicate primed surfaces on new construction, repair and field maintenance projects. Amercoat 385 will also adhere to intact painted surfaces and tight rust and may be used to repair itself or inorganic zinc silicate primers.
Amercoat 385 provides an excellent barrier to corrosion; its inhibitive pigment version (385PA) affords corrosion inhibition at damaged areas. It has good chemical resistance, making it suitable
for use in aggressive environments. Amercoat 385 is user friendly and can be applied by a variety of methods to produce a smooth, fast-drying film. It is suitable for immersion in both salt
and fresh water at temperatures up to 140°F, continuous and can be used as a tank lining for alkaline and salt solutions, petroleum fuels, and certain chemicals. Amercoat 385 may also be applied over aluminum, stainless steel, galvanizing, concrete and previously coated surfaces in addition to carbon steel.

Pitt-Guard DTR

Pitt-Guard All Weather DTR

Pitt-Guard DTR Epoxy Coatings are chemical resistant products, ideal for the harshest environments including immersion. Pitt-Guard is designed for use on interior and exterior surfaces where a high-build barrier coating is required. It is excellent for application over tightly adhering rust and to surfaces that cannot be abrasive blast cleaned.

Pitt-Guard Rapid Coat DTR

Pitt-Guard Rapid-Coat DTR offers barrier-coat corrosion protection in a tintable, low-temperature cure epoxy. Pitt-Guard Rapid-Coat is a surface-tolerant epoxy, designed for use on minimally prepared surfaces and over tightly adhering rust in corrosive and non-corrosive environments. It is ideal for areas that require a fast-drying epoxy.

Pitt-Guard Sealer

Pitt-Guard Epoxy Penetrating Sealer is a two component epoxy sealer formulated to penetrate, reinforce and seal rusty steel substrates while maximizing the adhesion of the primary coating system. When subject to incidental moisture contact, this product offers excellent clarity in cured films and minimal blushing or hazing. Ideal for situations where abrasive blasting is impractical, Pitt-Guard Epoxy Penetrating Sealer offers excellent wetting and wicking, low exotherm and can be directly applied to tightly adherent rust.
